About The Author
My love of water started very early as my grandparents had a small cottage on a lake. My grandfather had the first motorboat – a 14’ Crestliner with a 40 HP Johnson. Later in my teens my dad bought a 21’ bowrider when we lived on the coast of Massachusetts. When Stephanie and I got married, I told her I wanted us to have a boat and instead we started having kids! Thirty-four years later, our four kids have grown and moved on and we bought a 30’ Sea Ray Sundancer. We totally fell in love with the boating lifestyle. Three years later, as Stephanie was wrapping up her 30 year career in early childhood education, she came home one day and suggested that we go on a big adventure. A couple days later she had the idea to live on a boat! I instantly said “yes!” I am fortunate to be able to run my coaching business from the boat and we’re having the time of our lives.
rock on
We intend to do just that Bob!
Congrats on your new home Jim.
Thank you Benny!
Jim, we live just outside D.C. Would love to see your boat sometime when you’re back in the Chesapeake! Congrats and best wishes, Nelson
Beautiful! So exciting!
Thank you Kristine!
congrats on your boat and choice to live aboard. your living my dream I’m heading down to ft Lauderdale to see a couple of 40 to 46 footers. Good luck to both.
My wife wants to do the same thing! We have a 35′ Silverton but she wants to sell that and the house and live on a bigger boat. We’ve both been boating all our lives from Newport, RI to Annapolis, MD (we’re 57 and live in NJ). I’m the one holding us back fearing the “roots” of having a foundation under us and a successful business.
I hope I get the nerve to do it one day… I know she’d go for it
Congratulations on having the bobbers to go for it!
Hi Dave, My husband has always been more of the boat lover, so people are suprised that I’m the one that came up with the idea to love on a boat. WE are really enjoying the lifestyle. Our boat is very comfortable for us. I love exploring and traveling. I hope you try it! Keep in touch and feel free to reach out to Jim and I if you ever want to chat about the possibility! ~Stephanie
